PRESIDENCY EVENT: Nature and Land Use in Delivery of the Paris Goals
This event will explore how governments, scientists and Indigenous Peoples are working with nature to enhance climate ambition and help keep the 1.5°C goal within reach, while delivering benefits for biodiversity and for the millions of people who depend on the land and ocean for their livelihoods. It will showcase examples of leadership in Nationally Determined Contributions, Long-term Strategies and Adaptation Plans and explore how the latest technology, combined with local knowledge, can be used to map areas of potential action, whilst highlighting the critical role of Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
